A sensory journey to the heart of fruit

And if we were to imagine a summer fragrance, what attributes would we offer it, what would it be inseparable from ? For some, it would be the suntan oil that the French have been using since the first paid vacations in 1936, for others it would be the smell of popcorn. Maison Le Bo has chosen another option : that of ripe fruit and flowers at their peak.

Immediately evocative, the essence of bitter orange and ginger, fresh and burning at the same time. Then the juice of white peach (the real thing, so suave yet imperceptibly tangy); the wilder juice of pineapple and, above all, the deliciously exotic Asian mango, a little sharp, a little green. Later, a trio of these flowers that, on the contrary, we meet every day in our lands : the lily of the valley, rare, precious and much less shy than we think ; the rose called damascena and whose refined fragrances are known to everyone ; the geranium, cousin of the previous one, and that, however, we frequent less. We are wrong : a mixture of velvety petals and fluffy leaves, it is a daily delight on the balconies of summer houses.

What remains is what emanates, what the whole fragrance is based on. Here the choice is clearly amber, built around sandalwood, vanilla benzoin, oud so appreciated from Arabia to the Philippines, amber grey -the one released by the whale that regurgitates it from its depths, then matures according to the waves and the weather before being picked on a beach by chance. And a few pistils of saffron to illuminate the whole with a dazzling sunshine.

Us ? Nous” in French. this fragrance has no gender. And as such, it can be shared. Fortunately, this doesn’t make it a product for everyone, since it will only appeal to those who like rarity and non-conformism.

What an astonishing construction, starting with the vibrant note of lime essence and extending to a delicate raspberry. This is followed by hawthorn, its fragile petals barely open, married to lightly aniseed Chinese star anise! A walk in a spring garden after the dew.

But beware of mistaking a masked seducer for a child at heart… Because sandalwood and patchouli are soon on the rise. That is to say, In other words, the lascivious, unctuous, almost milky bewitchment of the first, the vibrant beginnings of the second.

Premises, because at the base of the olfactory triangle, the case is confirmed: patchouli plays its great woody score, deep and orientalist, supported by the fluffy musk and the beautiful bourbon vanilla that we find united in an irrefutable harmony.
